That’s called ‘walking the walk’ not just ‘talking the talk’. An act of unimpeachable integrity.

Rock on. I have been avoiding Stripe and Amazon in all capacaties for some years now, much to the confusion of others. They think I am just being crazy and difficult, say things like 'Why can't you just be more positive, you always seem to be saying 'NO'. NO has been my most powerful tool. Who wants to grow up to work for Amazon, right? Convenience Kills.

Thanks. This is why I never wanted any paid subscribers. I rely on very modest book sales.

I suspect a lot of these apps are deep state creations. I once thought AVG antivirus was rather innocuous until it blocked my access to a site in the alternative space that I know is legit - telling me it is likely a scam. Maybe people know about this already, but now I'm wondering if anything is actually as it seems.

They're all intel ops/digital id traps of some sort.

This is my recent unresolved experience with Substack:

This concerns a very serious ethical issue with Substack. I have contacted Substack’s laughingly called Customer Service three times over this issue and my bank, and the Better Business Bureau.

Here is the situation: on October 26 my credit card (Wells Fargo) was billed for $80 for a Substack, Stoke-On-Trengb, which I had never heard of, had never communicated with and was not in the list of Substack’s I had paid subscriptions to. I contacted WF, who resolved the fraud and sent me a new credit card. On November 4, 2024 there was another charge for $8.00 on my account. I contacted the *customer service,* got to the end where I had to pay $1 to continue. My bank refused to honor. This outfit was called JustAnswer. I’ve found out since that WF has had trouble with this site before me. Customer Service then cut me off after my protracted conversation with them. I gave up temporarily until I noticed a few days ago that this same Substack, Stokes-On-Trengb, again took $8 from my account. Another lengthy conversation with customer service, paid the $1, which I soon found out was actually $56, for the technician to tell me to”contact my bank.” I followed this direction after cancelling Just Answer. There was no information about a fee to join, only a comment saying this $1 was refundable. No doubt this is why WF’s fraud line had previous contact with this company with which Substack likely has a sweet mutually agreeable deal. WF got my $56 back but not my $16, likely to be more since they were not mentioned in my paid list, and I cannot cancel them.

Next I decided to search Stoke-On-Trengb to see if there was a contact. This is the email I got back from the proprietor listed first on the homepage who seemed the main person involved:

Hi Geraldine - I have 43 paid subscriptions and I don't see your name, or email as one of them.

Substack handle my subscriptions, as the owner of a publication I have nothing to do with them. I just see the names of the people who sign up.

You'll have to escalate your complaint with substack so that they can investigate.

So it seems like Substack’s administration is responsible for these charges and if this is so, and is happening to other people this going concern supporting many great writers and providers of crucial information will not survive.

I hope you get it sorted, sorry I can't be more help.

Please, someone do something about this situation!

Odysee have ditched them as well - notification came through yesterday. They were interfering with donations and I'd been in dialogue with a channel I'd donated to and he didn't receive any of his donations. I assumed it was Odysee at fault (didn't know about Stripe) and called it fraud. Next thing, we're notified as to situation. They claimed 'a couple of Odysee subscribers' had complained about other channels they thought should be demonitised as the content went against Stripe's policies. They were demanding that Odysee enable access to personal data to 'ban' certain channels (we can guess which ones). I guess this is in in keeping with the Chump's noahide mission. Anyway, Odysee are in the process of winding them down and developing a 'block chain' arrangement of some kind ..... Thanks for info, I'll pass it on and appreciate your diligence and integrity.
